Dr. Craig Burns, D.C.

Dr. Craig Burns first visited a chiropractor at the age of 21.  He had suffered for years, even as a teenager with headaches, fatigue, muscle spasms in the neck and shoulders, and a variety of other health problems.  Standard medical and physical therapy didn’t help him.  While working long hours to put himself into medical school a friend suggested he see a chiropractor.  With this doctor’s help he found a career and calling that he truly aligned with and believed.

With a burning desire to help others and to improve in himself, he continues to learn about and help further his profession.  He regularly takes more than required hours in continual education to learn more about the profession he cares so much for.  He holds a Distinguished Fellow status in the profession’s top research and technique group.  He is also a member of the Colorado Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Association.  He has received many awards and acknowledgements for his service and dedication to his profession.

Dr. Burns is knowledgeable in numerous rehabilitative techniques including the highly regarded methods of Chiropractic Biophysics.  He is well versed and experienced in dealing with athletes, the elderly, infants and children, expecting mothers, disc problems, neuropathies, scoliosis, degenerative problems and even spinal surgeries.  Depending upon the patient’s condition and their desire for care, various options will be presented in which the patient can choose.  Each patient will be cared for just as if they were a member of the doctor’s personal family.

correct_drop_shadow__mark_copy.jpgMark was introduced to Dr. Craig after a serious car accident in 2001.  After several months of intense pain and no improvement utilizing the mainstream medical recommendations (drugs, rest, etc.) he decided to go to a chiropractor.  Within 2 weeks his pain had reduced enough that he could return to work full time.

Mark had received Chiropractic care when he was a child, but did not realize the evolution that has occurred in the profession. “The focus of Chiropractic Health Care is now on correcting the root cause of the problem, so you will not have the pain return again in the future. I remembered as a child the mentality of the chiropractor was to give a quick adjustment and then see you next time you hurt… that is no longer the model of chiropractic care.”

Mark was so impressed with the treatment that he received from Dr. Craig, that when it came time for a career change, it was a natural for him to get involved with Maximized Health Wellness Center.

“I look forward to serving you and your family!  See you soon.”

Mark Rodgers, Office & Operations Manager

Julie_NEW_PIC_with_drop.jpgJulie first came to Maximized Health as a patient in June 2008. After completing her college soccer career she found herself suffering from a few minor ailments, most notably acute insomnia. After a short time under care her sleeping patterns improved and she was well on her way to getting a complete night’s sleep.
She has always had a strong interest in health and the human body which led her to get her degree in biology at Drake University. “It was during my studies at Drake that I realized I was disappointed with some of the conventional approaches of medicine; mainly the focus on alleviating symptoms without solving the problem.” It was with this realization that she was motivated to begin studying Nutritional Consulting through the Global College of Natural Medicine. She will be finishing her degree in the fall of 2009.
She became staff at Maximized Health Wellness Center in June of 2009.
Julie has always been a very active and health conscious person and she looks forward to helping you take the right steps towards a healthier life at Maximized Health Wellness Center.
