Did You Get Your First Chiropractic Adjustment When You Were 45 Minutes Old?

My children have had the blessing of getting adjusted since they were literally minutes old.  Once the doctors and nurses cleared out of the birth suite, I took over responsibility for my children’s health and development.  Many people ask me, “Why did you start so early, was their birth traumatic?”  Well, yes, you’ve been there too, birth is hard work!  For many of us our first subluxation occurs at birth.  Any ‘assistance’ during the birth process (Cesarean, forceps, vacuum, etc.) can increase the likelihood of trauma by as much as 300% over natural birth.  In fact a study of babies that died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) performed at the University of Colorado, found that all of the children had trauma to their upper cervical spine.  This damage happened during the birth process.   

On top of that the American Academy of Pediatrics estimates that a child will fall about 2000 times before age five!!  That is a staggering amount of trauma in a short period of time.  I wanted to be sure that my children had the best shot at life and so I made sure that their little tiny nervous systems were clear of interference. I have kept them cleared of problems ever since that time with continued chiropractic care.  I cannot stress enough the importance of getting kids checked for nervous system interference.
