The Power to Create and Prevent Disease

The Power To Create and Prevent Disease...

I would like to start this week’s newsletter with a recap of the last several.  As you have noticed our focus has been on a problem we all face to some extent and that is Unhealthy Body Chemistry.  We talked about pH balance, proper calcium/magnesium ratios, trace mineral deficiency, and the list goes on and on.  IMGP9321_copy.jpg

My goal with each newsletter is to help you elevate your understanding about your body, health maintenance and disease prevention.  As an active member of this Wellness Center you have a unique opportunity to quickly learn what has taken me weeks, months and in many cases years to figure out.  In fact, I am a little jealous.  I wish I had the same opportunity 12 years ago.  I guess that is the main reason why I do what I do… I want you to have it “easier, faster and better” than I did when I was learning this stuff!

Unfortunately, you can only teach someone so much on a 2-sided piece of paper.  For this reason I routinely conduct Continuing Education Health Seminars.  In these seminars I offer you the direction, advice and hope you deserve about health and wellness, but may be missing in your life.

For instance, take the concept of Osteoporosis.  For most people this is a very real, very scary, and often times debilitating condition.  This ‘disease’ affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men.  The statistics are getting worse every year, and people don’t know what to do.  People have come to accept bone loss as genetic, bad luck, the inevitability of aging, etc.  But, the truth is… bone loss is Lifestyle Induced.

A very small tidbit from the lecture coming June 2nd

Osteoporosis should not be viewed as a stand alone disease, but viewed as a symptom of an underlying bio-chemical problem.  The body needs a perfect balance of certain chemicals to keep the heart beating, the blood clean, the kidneys working properly, and the bones strong.  If a human being does not supply their body with these chemicals on a routine basis – the body will become dysfunctional.  In addition, if a human being does not maintain a perfect balance of these chemicals – the body will become severely dysfunctional.   It has been estimated that 70-80% of Americans meet both of these criteria!  If you are wondering, “am I one of them” – stop wondering about it, and get yourself to a point of knowing whether you are or are not.  That is what I am here to help you do.

A condition or disease that is Lifestyle Induced means that you actually bring it on yourself - that YOU created it!  If you have the power to create a disease within your body, does that mean you have the power to prevent it?  Now that is something to think about isn’t it?  If you can prevent, even reverse osteoporosis by making specific lifestyle changes – what else can you prevent… cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, digestion problems, sleep problems, and the list goes on and on.

What is YOUR PLAN to maintain health and prevent disease?  If your answer is the overly simplified response “Diet and Exercise” – you may be in for a rude awakening at some point in your life.  A vegetarian that can run a marathon is NOT guaranteed a lifetime of health void of disease anymore than anyone else.  There’s more to it than that.  A sensible diet and routine exercise plan are only 2 small pieces of a very big puzzle.

Wouldn’t you like to know what some of the other pieces are?  The next Continuing Education Health Seminar is June 2nd. CLICK HERE to view seminar info. THE MORE YOU KNOW THE MORE YOU CAN ACHIEVE.  Please RSVP. Guests are always welcomed (a friend, neighbor, coworker, someone you like, someone you don’t like – they all need our help!)

Speak up and educate others,
